T-34TH AT THE TELENET TROPHY, BELGIUM

telenet

27th May 2012 – This week in Belgium was one of the best courses we will play all year. It was green, lush and tree lined. Unfortunately, I was far from my best golf this week. I really struggled with my timing, causing a lot of mis-hit shots.

On a positive note though my chipping and pitching were much more like it. I have been spending pretty much all my practice time on my short game, and the chipping part is paying off, the putting however has not. I finally managed to string a few great iron shots together in the final round, but missed every chance i looked at bar 2 of them. I think I had 13 birdie chances, and I made two of them. I know my game is not far away, and a 34th place finish this week, despite being far from my best, is very encouraging. I travel to Tenerife this week for the Fred Olsen Challenge. Clare-Marie is caddying, and i hope to keep up my good performances with her on the bag,
